Mother, son on their spiritual tour on an old 2001 model bike for 4 years!
A devotee is on a spiritual journey across the country carrying his mother on a two-wheeler to fulfill her wish.44-year-old Krishnakumar, the only son of Dakshinamurthy Sudha Rathinamma, a resident of Bogadi, Mysore, Karnataka, was working in a private company.
Since 2018 after his father’s death, he has been on a spiritual journey with his mother to temples, monasteries and ashrams across India. With his mother on the back he has traveled to more than 10 states on an old 2001 model bike .
Dakshinamurthy, who came to Kanchipuram Varadaraja Perumal temple with his mother Sudha Rathinamma to have darshan of Swami, said:My mother worked tirelessly for us living as a joint family till my father died she never left home. She said that I have never even been to the temple next door and I have a desire to see all the places.
Then I said that I am in good position because of you, don’t worry, I will take you to temples all over India.Amma and I are on a spiritual journey across India on a two-wheeler to fulfill my promise made to my mother.
To fulfill the promise, mother and I are taking a spiritual journey across India on a two-wheeler.We travel on a two-wheeler, which was first given to me by my father in 2001. Going in the vehicle given by father gives us the feeling that he is coming with us. I used to save the bonus that I got during the job and that’s what I’m spending now.
I used to carry them when climbing the hill in the temples as mother could not climb it. There is no language problem as I know 6 languages. Both of us will travel with headgear. Auto repairs can also be done.
We only eat food served in temples and monasteries. We avoid eat anything harmful to the body.Parents are talking deities. One should take good care of them while they are there. It is not good at all to worship them after their death without doing so. Service to parents is the highest service, to take good care of mother , I didn’t get married.”
Everyone should have children like my son,” Sudarathnamma said.
