Once when the devotee of Tirumal in southern India, CP Chakraborty came here with his troops, a white pig appeared in front of them and gave them great trouble.

When the soldiers could not catch the pig, Chakraborty himself went to catch it. The pig also hid in a bush on the hill without being caught by him.

While the king was going around the hill to catch this, he saw sage Markandeya doing severe penance in a cave and he explains what happened to him.

By his Yogic Power the sage then come to know that it was Thirumal who had come in the form of a Vara (pig). Then both of them together did penance for a long time to see the vision of the Lord.
